Art exhibit- featured artist Jim Osborn. Jim has been a Friends member for about 6 years, and a dedicated and hardworking volunteer from the start. His volunteer contributions include: Managing coordinator of the Friends Gift Shop; Coordinator of the Crab Orchard Photography Group (now on hiatus) and provision of programs on photography for the Refuge; Administrator for the Facebook Group "Friends of CONWR and Photography"; and he is Second Vice-President of the Friends Board . Jim is an avid and gifted photographer. Several of his pictures have been used by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, FWS-Region 5, and Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge.

In 2016-2017, his photo of a bobcat was selected for the cover of the Illinois Digest of Hunting and Trapping Regulations He was published in Outdoor Illinois Magazine (before it ceased publication).

And he was selected Photographer of the Year for 2019 by the Southern Illinois Photographic Society.
